Cambridgeshire Campaign for Better Transport (UK)

Simon Norton, the long standing coordinator and driving force behind the group, passed away in February 2019. He will be sorely missed.

The group has now ceased activities. This site is kept on-line as a memorial to Simon's lifetime of campaigning.

About

We are the local Cambridgeshire group of the United Kindgom Campaign for Better Transport, who have been helping to create transport policies and programmes that give people better lives since 1973. Working nationally and locally, collectively and as individuals, through high-level lobbying and strong public campaigning, we make good transport ideas a reality and stop bad ones from happening.

Our campaigns involve promoting improvements to rail and bus services, helping reclaim the streets from the car through traffic reduction, and fighting the government's plans for road building and increase in aviation traffic.

We were known as Transport 2000 Cambs & W Suffolk until September 2007.
